Classes

TailLights dog classes are held at All Creatures Great and Small Animal Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. We play games that are designed to strengthen and enhance your relationship with your dog. From that strong bond, everything else will flow.

Each dog/person team plays at their own pace without competition or comparison. Whether you have a lap dog or a super athlete, the TailLights program tweaks the communication skills of both dog and handler. And classes are fun - no stress, no worries, just “play”.

Please note

If you have any doubts about your dog’s potential behavior in a group class, tell me about your dog. A brief consultation can help you decide the optimum plan for you and your dog.

Fall 2008 Class Listing

What should I bring to class?

  1. Your dog wearing a flat buckle collar, or harness
  2. A 4-6 foot regular leash (no flexi-leashes)
  3. Dog Health Form signed by your veterinarian
  4. Treats in very small pieces (keep in pockets or fanny pack)
  5. Baggies for your dog’s waste
  6. A thick towel or thin mat, large enough for your dog to lie on
  7. An open mind

Any other good things to know?

  1. When you arrive for the first class, please come to the training area and leave your dog in your car. We will bring the dogs into the training area after a short people-only orientation.
  2. Advise your instructor if your adult dog is not neutered or spayed.
  3. Keep your dog on a leash.
  4. Water bowls are provided.
  5. Please clean up your dog’s waste immediately.
  6. Please be considerate of others. In our group classes, time is a precious commodity and we want to insure each dog/handler team gains as much knowledge and as many skills as possible. A private training session or behavior consultation may be a better choice for some teams.
