Since Tail Lights Dogs’ beginnings, Stephanie Brooks has been instrumental in making the vision come alive. She has worked alongside Tail Lights’ founder Mira Jones in all aspects of managing and decision making, excelling each step of the way!
Through her knowledge of dog care and behavior, along with exceptional customer service, Stephanie personifies the mission of Tail Lights Dogs. She continues the mission: to provide a safe, welcoming facility, in which our clients may rest assured their dogs are carefully supervised, positively trained and warmly loved during all stages of their lives.
Mira Jones is an IAABC Certified Dog Behavior Consultant and a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). In 2011, she was one of the first trainers in the East to complete the NACSW Certified Nose Work Instructor course. Mira is a Nosework Certifying Official and Judge for the United Kennel Club (UKC).
Mira has more than 20 years’ experience working with dogs and dog owners. She has trained hundreds of dogs of all breeds and temperaments, has taught group classes, written training curriculum, lectured on animal behavior, has completed graduate-level courses in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Sarah has been with the Tail Lights Team since 2013 in various capacities and keeps multitudes of things well oiled behind the scenes.
Sarah is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. She has been training dogs professionally since 2006 and ran training programs at three different shelters.
Currently Sarah is training our Day School dogs, providing entertaining and informative group classes and private lessons, and keeping our schedules, emails, and phones running smoothly.
Branham has been with Tail Lights for eight years and worked nearly every one of our positions from overnight caretaker to AM shift leader.
He is an expert at managing our group play to keep things safe and fun for everyone. Even dogs who have “nervous of men” in their biography unanimously agree that Branham is in their inner circles.
With your puppy class and pointers Moose developed into a great dog. Your work is very important; it not only changes dogs, but brings families together. Thank you again for saving Moose and for giving us the best dog we’ve ever had.— Greg Vachon
